[ Portrait film — 02 ]
Vigdis
2025 — 04:37
A portrait of Vigdis, a dancer retiring after twenty-two seasons with Teater Nord — filmed in the empty theatre she is about to leave, in one unhurried afternoon.
The brief was restraint: one face, one room, available light. We blocked the afternoon around the sun moving across the stage door and let her speak only when she wanted to. Most of the film is silence and rehearsal footage from her final month.
It premiered as the opening film of her farewell evening and now lives in the theatre’s archive. Four and a half minutes, a single interview setup, and proof that a portrait needs patience more than coverage.
